How to add questions to the the team registrations. Learn how to navigate the SincSports registration interface to set up your event's custom questions. This guide simplifies the process of configuring mandatory fields and selection options to collect information from the teams to help with seeding, conflicts, availability for leagues (bye weeks, unavailable days), also to simply acknowledge rules, policies, etc.

1. Admin (MENU) > Website Settings > Setup Team Registrations

   

2. Click step 8, Questions

   

3. Application Question Details > You may only add or edit application questions up until the first team registers. Any changes after that must be completed by SincStaff. If it is a simple update (renumbering, updating text, adding additional questions at the END), there is no charge. If it requires escalation to Tech Support, there is a fee. Each question must have a question number. Each question should have a heading (subject). A simple abbreviation is also required. The question text should be added to this box There are the different options/features of the questions. We'll go more in depth in the upcoming steps. When you choose a Dropdown, Radio button, Checkbox or Number, there will be "Options" for you to add for the registrants to select from. This is where you put their choices. The default for application question options is one to six. You're able to add an additional seven to ten by clicking this button. 4. Question Type: Dropdown Add the options you wish the teams to have for the dropdown. There will be a box with an caret arrow to activate the options for registrants to select from.

   

5. Question type: Text Box Type in your question text. If you want to make this required, you'll want to add instructions for teams who do NOT have any coaching conflicts to write N/A or None. Otherwise, you may leave the Required checkbox unchecked. You're able to limit the number of characters in the answer. Since this can be addressed during registration flow, this question is used less and less.

   

6. Question type: Checkbox This should only be used if teams have more than one option they may select. If it's a yes or no answer, the radio button should be used. Otherwise, registrants are able to select BOTH which defeats the purpose of the question. The checkbox function is typically used by leagues who offer the teams the option to pick the weekends they wish to play, or weekends they'll be unavailable for (which requires multiple answers).
